As part of the Sydney International Arts Series, the Art Gallery of NSW will host Picasso: Masterpieces from the Musée National Picasso, Paris - the most significant exhibition of Picasso’s art ever held in Australia. Over 150 important paintings, sculptures, prints and drawings created by Pablo Picasso (1881-1973) have come from the artist’s personal collection. Drawn from the permanent collection of the Musée National Picasso in Paris, Picasso tickets are now on sale, the largest and most significant collection of the artist’s works in the world, the exhibition is part of a world tour and exclusive to Sydney (Picasso Sydney). The Picasso exhibition will capture every phase of Picasso’s extraordinary career, including masterpieces from his Blue, Rose, Expressionist, Cubist, Neoclassical and Surrealist periods. Included in the Picasso ticket price is a film viewing of La Visite featuring Picasso at work in his studio. An edited segment of the film will screen in a specially constructed theatre.
